EXHAUSTION HAS BECOME A WAY OF LIFE. THIS WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE.

Most of us are driving through the road of life with our foot jammed on the accelerator - sympathetic nervous system constantly activated, mistaking stimulation for performance, cortisol for energy, output for health.

What happens to a car with its foot permanently on the gas?

The engine breaks down.

Yet this is how most of us live.

Not because we work too hard.

Because we were never taught how to come back.

Micro Resets are how you learn.

THE FIVE MICRO RESETS

Micro Resets are a way of coming back into relationship with your own system

A steady system thinks more clearly, responds more wisely, and acts from a deeper place than a reactive one.

We do not arrive at steadiness once and hold it permanently.

We return to it – repeatedly, deliberately – through practice and creating conscious opportunities - across five dimensions of human experience.

These are Micro Resets.
Precision returns to yourself. 1—5 minutes. No equipment.

Just the practice of coming back to rhythm.

The companies that lead the human performance space won’t optimise performance. They’ll optimise rhythm.

  • 01. SOMATIC

    Through the body.

The body is the first site of dysregulation and the most direct route back to safety. Breath, movement, temperature, touch, daily ritual. Bottom-up signals that override top-down cognitive patterns.

Our drinks were designed here: as somatic anchors.

  • 02. SENSORY

    Through the senses

A change of environment. Natural light.

    A particular scent. Silence.

Small, deliberate acts of sensory restoration that interrupt chronic activation faster than almost any cognitive intervention

  • 03. CREATIVE

    Through making.

Creativity is not a talent. It is a neurological reset. When we make something - write, cook, draw, garden, build - we shift from threat-response networks into networks associated with flow, safety, and integration.

No skill required. No outcome needed. Just the act of making.

  • 04 .RELATIONAL

    Through connection

The nervous system is fundamentally relational. It co-regulates - settling in the presence of safe others, activating in the presence of threat.

Relational resets are not performed socialising or digital contact. They are moments of genuine co-regulation: being truly seen, heard, and met by another person.

These are among the most powerful resets available to us.
    And among the most neglected.

  • 05. SPIRITUAL

    Through meaning

Spiritual resets reconnect us to something larger than the immediate moment - through stillness, nature, practice, or the simple act of asking what actually matters.

This is not religion. It is the restoration of the sense that life has a shape worth inhabiting.

Why Five?

The 5 Micro Resets function as a simple organising system - helping you recognise where stress is showing up, and how to respond in the moment.

Stress is systemic.

It doesn’t show up in one place - it moves across the body, the environment, what we’re doing, who we’re with, and how we’re thinking.

Each Micro Reset works through a different entry point into the system.
Five levers: body, environment, action, connection, meaning.

Most approaches focus on one or two.

This gives you multiple entry points. Sometimes one reset isn’t enough. Regulation isn’t a single step.

Micro Resets are a way of coming back into relationship with your own system - by making it easier to notice and respond to what the body is already signalling.

Each Micro Reset works by shifting a different pathway of the nervous system.

Five levers: body, environment, action, connection, meaning.

ATTUNEMENT:
THE SIGNAL CHECK

Before you reset, listen.

Most of us move through the day without ever checking in with ourselves. We respond to the outside world - notifications, demands, other people's urgency — without pausing to ask what is actually happening inside.

The Signal Check is that pause.
A simple act of attunement - turning inward before you act outward.

This is why our drinks are designed as somatic anchors - a warm ritual to help you pause, attune to your inner signals without overriding them.

Place both hands around your cup. Feel the warmth, and then ask:

Now choose your reset...

return to your body

Somatic Micro-Resets

Stress shows up in the body first.

Tight shoulders.

Shallow breath.

Accelerated heart rate.

Somatic Micro-Resets work bottom-up - shifting physiology first, so the nervous system receives signals of safety before cognition intervenes.

Because when the body changes, the state follows.

Example (2–3 minutes):

Inhale for 4 seconds

Exhale for 6–8 seconds

Longer exhales stimulate vagal tone and reduce sympathetic activation.

That’s the reset.

Through the Senses

Sensory Micro-Resets

Chronic stress is often sensory overload.

Screens. Notifications. Artificial light. Noise.

Small environmental shifts can regulate faster than cognitive effort.

Example (2 minutes):

Step toward natural light.

Reduce one sound input.

Close your eyes for 60 seconds.

Rub your palms together until they're warm.

Place them gently over your eyes.

Feel the darkness. Feel the warmth.

Let your senses soften.

When sensory input changes, the nervous system recalibrates.

Through Making

Creative Micro-Resets

Creativity is not talent. It is neurological flexibility.

Making without achieving.

Do something with your hands that has no outcome to shift the brain out of threat-response networks and into integration networks.

When you engage in simple, physical actions with no outcome using your hands, it engages sensorimotor system, and
grounds attention in the body and
reduces rumination.

The pressure to perform reduces.

Cognitive load drops.

Thinking becomes less rigid.

The body and brain start working together again instead of staying in overdrive.

You move out of a reactive mode and into a more flexible, integrated state.

Example (5 minutes):

Doodle without purpose.

Hum while you do it.

That's the reset.

No outcome required.

Through Connection

Relational Micro-Resets

The nervous system is fundamentally relational.

We co-regulate.

Relational resets:

  • signal safety through connection
  • calm the threat response
  • bring the system back into social engagement

Moments of genuine human safety reduce stress faster than isolation.

Example (2–3 minutes):

With someone:

Put everything down.

Be 100% present - nothing else exists for this moment.

Put everything down.

Slow the interaction.

Look at the person in front of you. Really be present.

Slow down your breath and let your heart relax.

Invite curiosity and openness.

Listen fully before responding.

When the interaction becomes real, the nervous system settles.

That’s the reset.

Co-regulation is one of the most powerful stress recovery tools available.

Through Meaning

Spiritual / Meaning Micro-Resets

When chronically activated, perspective collapses.
When you can’t step back.

Everything feels urgent. Nothing feels meaningful.

Spiritual resets restore orientation.
Not religion. Meaning.

These resets don’t change the situation.

They change your relationship to it.

They widen perspective.

Reduce the sense of threat.

Reconnect you to what matters.

Three minutes:

Step outside.
Look at the horizon.

Ask yourself:

Will this matter in a week?

What is actually in my control here?

What actually matters?

What is the next right step — not the perfect one?

Can you take one aligned action without attachment to the outcome?

What is your most aligned action that serves?

Finally, Ask: What is one small action that matches the steadiness I am returning to?

Not through force. Through return

Steady. Present. Alive. Clear.

Performance is shaped by organisational rhythm.

Micro Resets sit within that rhythm - before meetings, between tasks, and across the transitions that already exist.

Not added on.

But built into how work already happens.
